About Chitkara College of Pharmacy

Chitkara College of Pharmacy was established in 2005 by the Chitkara Education Trust, Chandigarh, under the guidance of renowned academicians Dr. Ashok Chitkara and Dr. Madhu Chitkara. Chitkara University is located in Jhansla, Rajpura, Punjab. Chitkara College of Pharmacy offers a range of programs including B. Pharm, M. Pharm (specializations in Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacy Practice, Drug Regulatory Affairs) Pharm D, Pharm D (PB), M.Sc. Pharmacovigilance & Clinical Research and Ph.D., all approved by the PCI and UGC.

Our rigorous Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral research programs in Pharmaceutical Sciences prepare students for frontline roles in modern patient care, drug discovery and development. The programs are tailored to meet the ever evolving industry requirements and are taught by experts in first-class facilities with the aid of innovative teaching technologies. The programs are supervised by 47 faculty members, all of who hold them are doctorate degrees.

Today, Chitkara College of Pharmacy is recognized as a center of excellence for Pharmaceutical Sciences education in India and stands in top 50 pharmacy institutions since 2016 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development’s- NIRF rankings, out of more than 1,000 pharmaceutical colleges in the country.

Chitkara College of Pharmacy under the aegis of Chitkara University Punjab has seen heights of success in various fields of research, rankings and best practices. We have been selected as one of the partner institutes for Student Training Program under the Skill Vigyan Center, Punjab, in collaboration with LSSSDC. Chitkara University is the first and only collaborator in India to sign MOUs with Global Paraxel Academy, Jubilant Biosys and Dr. Reddy’s.

The Journal of Pharmaceutical Technology, Research and Management is the official peer reviewed bi-annual journal of Chitkara College of Pharmacy. The institute also holds two Centers of Excellence: the Computer Aided Drug Design Lab and the AYUSH Testing Lab. Additionally, the institute has established two research chairs: the Amulya Herbs ClinSync Chair for Pre-Clinical & Clinical Research & the Biogenetic Healthcare Chair for Phytopharmaceutical Granules.
